(a) & (b): There is no scheme specifically meant for the Non-Government Organisations (NGO). However, under the Capacity Building for Urban Local Bodies (CBULB) Scheme of the Ministry, funds are provided to identified institutions including NGOs and States for addressing specific capacity gaps in the urban sector. Under the Scheme of Training Centres for Municipal Employees, funds are provided to the All India Institute of Local Self Government, (AIILSG) Mumbai which functions as the Ministry’s Regional Centre for Urban and Environmental Studies at Mumbai.
