Question : Funds Allocated under PMMSY to Andhra Pradesh

(a) the details of funds allocated under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Yojana (PMMSY) to the State of Andhra Pradesh during the last two years;

(b) whether the Government proposes to set up Integrated Modern Coastal Fishing Villages in the State of Andhra Pradesh in the current financial year under this scheme; and

(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c): The Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying is implementing a flagship scheme Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) - A scheme to bring about Blue Revolution through sustainable and responsible development of fisheries sector in India with an investment of Rs.20050 crore for a period of 5 years with effect from the financial year 2020-21 for development of fisheries in all States/Union Territories including Andhra Pradesh. During the financial year 2020-21, the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying has accorded approval to the proposal of Government of Andhra Pradesh at a total cost of Rs.275.60 crore with central share of Rs.79.566 crore under the PMMSY. The PMMSY inter-alia envisages set up Integrated Modern Coastal Fishing Villages in the marine States/UTs including in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The Government of Andhra Pradesh under its Annual Action Plan of 2021-22 has proposed for setting up three Integrated Modern Coastal Fishing Villages in the State.
