(a) & (b) The National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (Divyangjan) (NILD), Kolkata provides rehabilitation services for the Persons with Locomotor Disabilities other than human resource development and research & development.
Besides this, Regional Centres (RC) of National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (Divyangjan) (NIEPID), National Institute Empowerment for the Persons with Visual Disabilities (Divyangjan) (NIEPVD), and Ali Yavar Jung National Institute Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan) (AYJNISHD) in Kolkata also provide rehabilitation services to persons with respective disabilities.

NILD has overall 109 staff. Whereas, the regional centres of NIEPID, NIEPVD and AYJNISHD have a total number of 67 regular/ guest faculty/ contractual staff including professionals/ teachers in the areas of respective disabilities.
(c) NILD provides assessment services, restorative surgery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, prosthetics & orthotics and socio-economic rehabilitation facilities for locomotor disabilities.
The regional centre for NIEPID provides psychological, medical, educational services, vocational training, early intervention, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and sensory integration therapy for intellectually disabled.
The NIEPVD regional centre provides pre-school programme for visually impaired children, eye clinic, guidance and counseling etc services for the visually disabled.
The AYJNISHD regional centre provides diagnostic and therapy of persons with hearing and speech language disabilities.

(d) Under the National Action Plan for Skill Development of PwDs 26 training partners have been empanelled from the State of West Bengal including 24 NGOs. The list is given at Annexe-I
Under Deen Dayal Rehabilitation Scheme (DDRS), grant-in-aid to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for projects relating to rehabilitation of persons with disabilities aimed at enabling persons with disabilities to reach and maintain their optimal, physical, sensory, intellectual, psychiatric or social functional levels. programmes for pre-school and early intervention is released. The list of the NGOs, in West Bengal, who receive grants under DDRS is given at Annexe-II.
