(a) whether the Government has extended Off-grid solar photovoltaic application programme for North Eastern States and Jharkhand;
(b) if so the details thereof; and
(c) the status of the sanctioned/installed solar street lights, solar study lamps and solar power parks, Statewise including North Eastern States and Jharkhand?

(a)&(b)The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy launched Off-grid and Decentralized Solar PV Applications Programme Phase-III in August 2018 for installation of solar street lights and solar power packs and distribution of solar study lamps in the country, including the North Eastern States and Jharkhand, during 2018-19 and 2019-20. The Programme was further extended till 31.3.2021 for implementation only in North Eastern States.
(c) State-wise details of sanction issued and achievements reported for solar street lights, solar study lamps and solar power packs under the Programme till 31.12.2020 is placed at Annexure. Sanctions were issued to States/UTs based on demand received from them. No demand was received from the State of Jharkhand and therefore, no capacity was sanctioned to the State under the Programme.
