(a) Under Skill India, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) is implementing various programmes/ scheme for the skill development. The number of operational skill development centres across the country including in the State of Bihar under the programmes of MSDE is given below:

(c) Under PMKVY, 9,430 candidates have been trained/oriented in Gopalganj district of State of Bihar by 31 empanelled training centres (including PMKKs) during last three years (2018-21). Under PMKVY 3.0, there is no provision for district -wise allocation of funds. Considering per candidate average cost (Rs.15,193), the estimated expenditure for training of 9,430 candidates was approx. Rs. 14.33 crore.
Further, in the district of Gopalganj in Bihar, there are 21 ITIs and as on 01-12-2021, 1,825 candidates have been enrolled under Craftsman Training scheme (CTS) in the year 2020.
Under JSS, no training took place in the Gopalganj district of Bihar as there is no JSS in the district.
(d) In order to inculcate self employment skills in the candidates for entrepreneurship / micro entrepreneurship, apart from domain / core curriculum, training in English, Employability & Entrepreneurship (EEE) module (155 hours) is being imparted under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). Also, Training Providers provide support to the candidates for entrepreneurship development through facilitating bank linkages along with providing guidance and mentoring support. Further, under demand driven PMKVY 3.0, the aspirations of the candidates have been given primacy which aims to support the self-employment as well. The scheme has benefitted youth across the country including State of Bihar.
Under PMKVY, as on 21.11.2021, 62 self-employed candidates are from Gopalganj district of the State of Bihar.
