Answer given by the minister

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS (DR. CHHATTRA PAL SINGH)

(a): Yes, Sir.

(b) & (c): Under Clause 7 of the Fertiliser (Control) Order, 1985, it was mandatory for every dealer to obtain the Certificate of Registration for carrying on the business of selling of fertiliser as whole-sale or retail dealer. The Government of India has amended Clause 7 of the Fertiliser Control Order on 16.1.2003 dispensing with the requirement of ‘Certificate of Registration’ and replaced with the ‘Memorandum of Intimation’.
