(a) the names of the Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) which have received financial assistance under the agricultural schemes being run by the Government in the country including Madhya Pradesh during the last three years;
(b) the details of funds given as financial assistance to these NGOs; and
(c) the names of those NGOs which have been found involved in irregularities?

(a) & (b): Normally, assistance to Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) associated with agriculture sector is not provided directly by the Government of India. The States are free to provide such assistance under some schemes and programmes. However, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has sanctioned 101 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) under the administrative control of NGOs in the country including 7 KVKs in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Therefore, funds have been provided to these NGOs for implementing the KVKs activities. The funds were provided to NGOs for KVK activities and not for NGOs activities. The State-wise and NGO-wise details of financial assistance provided for KVKs activities for the last 3 years are given in Annexure-I.
(c) Irregularities have been found in the utilization of funds by Bhatavasalam Memorial Trust (Thanjavur KVK of Tamil Nadu State). Show cause notice has been issued in this regard. In the mean time the host organizations of KVKs Thanjvaur as well as Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu have moved the Court and the matter is sub-judice.
