(a) the total area of land acquired by the Eastern Coal Fields Limited for its Rajmahal project in Jharkhand;
(b) whether any agreement has been made with the land holders;
(c) if so, the details thereof;
(d) the total number of employees in this project along
with the persons provided jobs out of these so far; and
(e) the steps taken by the ECL to provide jobs to the remaining land losers?

(a) : As on 01.12.2000 a total of 885.85 hectares of
land has been acquired for Rajmahal Project.
(b) & (c) : Yes, Sir. A Memorandum of Understanding has
been reached between the land losers and their
representatives in the presence of the District
