(a) whether the Government has received a large number of
proposals for opening of drug de-addiction centres in various
States during 2005-06 and 2006-07;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State-wise;
(c) the number out of them sanctioned by the Government
and funds allocated to such centres during the said period, State-wise;
(d) whether the Government has evaluated the performance
of such new centres in various States; and
(e) if so, the details and findings thereof?

(d) & (e)Evaluation of performance of drug de-addiction centres
is an on-going process which is based on the half yearly progress
report furnished by the NGOs and inspection reports/recommendations
of the State Government or an officer deputed by the Ministry.
