(a) the details of the NGOs working for the welfare of the orphans in the country as on date;
(b) the financial assistance provided to each NGO during each of the last three years;
(c) whether some of the said NGOs have misused these funds;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the action taken by the Government in this regard ?

(a)&(b) A statement showing details of NGOs working under
the scheme of Assistance to Homes for Children [Shishu Greh]
to promote In-country Adoption and financial assistance
provided to them during last three years is given at
Annexure. The scheme is being implemented by this Ministry
for the welfare of orphaned/abandoned children up to 6 years
of age by providing them institutional care and promoting
their in-country adoptions.
