(a) the amount spent for the welfare of Scheduled Castes under the Ninth Five Year
Plan, scheme-wise in each State;
(b) whether the Government propose to allocate more funds during the Tenth Five
Year Plan for the welfare schemes of Scheduled Castes; and
(c) if so, the details thereof?

(a) Details of amounts released to various States during the Ninth Five Year Plan
under the schemes implemented by the Ministry of Social Justice &
Empowerment are given in the Annual Reports of the Ministry.
(b) & (c) Planning Commission has allocated Rs. 5786.00 crores for the schemes for
welfare of Scheduled Castes implemented by the Ministry during the Tenth Five
Year Plan.
