(a) the numbers and name of districts identified for socio-economic development under Integrated Action Plan (IAP), State/UT-wise;

(b) whether any scheme is being implemented under IAP for Left Wing Extremism affected districts in the country;

(c) if so, the details thereof along with the total amount released and utilized during each of the last three years and the current year, State, district-wise;

(d) whether the Government proposes to include more districts of the country including Banka district of Bihar which is Left Wing Extremism affected and scheduled tribes dominated, under IAP; and

(e) if so, the details thereof, State/UT-wise and the time by which it is likely to be done?

(a)to(c) The Integrated Action Plan (IAP) for Selected Tribal and Backward Districts was started in November, 2010in 60 districts. The scheme was subsequently extended to 82 districts and was in operation till 2012-13. In 2013-14, the Government decided to continue the financial assistance to 88 districts including 82 districts covered under erstwhile IAP through the scheme named ‘Additional Central Assistance (ACA) for Left Wing Extremism (LWE) Affected Districts’ for the remaining years of the Twelfth Plan. State-wise names of the Districts covered under the scheme along with details of amount released and utilized is at Annexure – I.

(d)There is no proposal to include more districts including Banka district of Bihar under the scheme at present.

(e) Does not arise.
