(a) The details of various schemes/programmes/projects implemented
by the Government for promoting sports and youth affairs activities
in the country including in rural areas, scheme/programme/ project-wise
and State-wise are as under:
Department of Youth Affairs:
i) Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS)
ii) National Service Scheme (NSS)
iii) Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD)
iv) Natioal Youth Corps (NYC)
v) National Programme for Youth and Adolescent Development (NPYAD)

(b) & (c): The details of targets set and achievements made
under the various schemes/programmes during each of the last three
years is at Annexure.
(d) At the beginning of the financial year, an Annual Action Plan is
prepared with the approval of the competent authority. The physical
and financial targets are fixed and programmes/activities are carried
out keeping in view the targets fixed. In order to ensure that the set
targets are achieved, close monitoring and supervision of the programmes
are done through reports like Monthly Progress Reports, Quarterly Progress
Reports and Annual Reports and half-yearly Results Framework Documents.
In addition, meetings are held at various levels for reviewing the progress
of various Schemes.
(e) Information is disseminated to youth through websites of the Ministry,
Subordinate Office and Autonomous Bodies. In addition, information about
the programmes/Schemes is given to youth through circulars, publications,
awareness campaigns, etc.
