Question : INTENSIVE DAIRY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME



(a) whether the Government has implemented the Intensive Dairy Development Programme in the country;

(b) if so, the details thereof, State/UTwise;

(c) whether the Government has received proposals from the State Government of Haryana and Chhattisgarh under the Intensive Dairy Development Programme; and

(d) if so, the details thereof along with the funds allocated and utilized by the State Governments under the said Programme during the last three years and the current year, State-wise?

(a) The scheme “Intensive Dairy Development Programme (IDDP)” was implemented in the country from 1993-94 to 2013-14. IDDP scheme has been discontinued from 2014-15 and has been subsumed along with its objectives and targets under the new Scheme National Programme for Bovine Breeding and Dairy Development (NPBBDD) for implementation during the 12th Five Year Plan.

(b) The statement indicating State-wise approved outlay, total fund released under IDDP, since inception upto 31.03.2015 is at annexure-I.

(c) Does not arise in view of (a) above

(d) The details of fund allocated and utilised by State Governments, under the Intensive Dairy Development Programme including States of Haryana and Chhattisgarh, for the years 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14 are given at annexure-II.
