(a)&(b): District-wise details of average number of workdays of employment generated, in Arunachal Pradesh during the last three years and the current year is given in Annexure.
The Government is actively engaged with State Government including Arunachal Pradesh in establishing systems that ensure provision of work as per demand, transparency and accountability. To generate awareness about the provisions of the Scheme and to provide adequate employment opportunities to rural households under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), all States/UTs including Arunachal Pradesh have been requested for the following:
(i) Initiate appropriate Information Education and Communication (IEC) campaigns including wall paintings for wide dissemination of the provisions of the Act.
(ii) Expand scope and coverage of demand registration system to ensure that demand for work under MGNREGA does not go unregistered.
(iii) Organize ‘Rozgar Diwas’ periodically to capture latent demand under the programme and to disseminate awareness about the provisions of the Act.
(c): Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) is a demand driven programme hence no State/UT- wise allocation of fund is made. The Central funds are released to the States/UTs including Arunachal Pradesh on the basis of agreed to Labour Budgets and taking into consideration the performance and the pace of utilization of available funds. Details of amount released to Arunachal Pradesh under the MGNREGS during the last three years and the current year is given as under: -
