(a) the number of cases registered under the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices (MRTP)
Act during the last three years;
(b) the number of cases disposed of during the above period; and
(c) the concrete steps being taken to dispose of the remaining cases?

(a) and (b) A statement is attached.
(c) Efforts are being made to dispose of the pending cases by taking these up before the
benches of the Commission. Being a quasi judicial body, the MRTP Commission adjudicates the cases
in process before it and after completion of the relevant proceedings, makes orders as it deems
fit under the provisions of the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1969.
