(a)the details of the major poverty alleviation programme and Rural Development Schemes undertaken in the State of Rajsthan during last three years and till date;

(c)the specific programme drawn up for the Tenth Plan to bring down poverty ratio in Rajasthan; and

(a)The Ministry of Rural Development has been implementing the major schemes namely, the Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY), the Sampoorna Gramin Rozgar Yojana (SGRY), the Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY), the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), the Drought Prone Areas Programme (DPAP), the Desert Development Programme (DDP) and the Integrated Watershed Development Programme (IWDP), the Drinking Water Supply Programme (DWS) and the Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) in the State of Rajasthan during the last three years. The main objective of Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) is to bring the assisted poor families above the poverty line by providing them with income generating opportunities through a mix of Government subsidy and Bank credit.

(b)The achievements made under these programmes in the State of Rajasthan compared to the National average are given in a Statement at Annexure-I.

(c)SGSY is a specific Scheme to bring down poverty ratio in the rural areas including Rajasthan.

(d)The funds released by the Ministry of Rural Development and the achievements made under various schemes during the last three years i.e. 2001-2002, 2002-2003, 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 upto May, 2004 are given in the Statements at Annexure-II.
