Question : Companies with Access to Aarogya Setu App

Will the Minister of ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY be pleased to State:

(a) whether the National Informatics Centre (NIC) has refused to provide the list of companies that have access to the Aarogya Setu Open Application Programming Interface (API);
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefore;
(c) if not, the list of companies with access to Aarogya Setu Open API;
(d) the list of service providers integrated with the Aarogya Setu App; and
(e) whether the Government has entered into any agreement with companies using Aarogya Setu Open API service and if so, the details thereof?

): Yes, Sir. National Informatics Centre had received an RTI request for providing the list of organizations who have registered for the Aarogya Setu Open API. The request was denied.

(b): Sharing the details of the organizations is in violation of the Aarogya Setu Privacy Policy.

(c): NA, as per point (a).

(d): Aarogya Setu App interfaces with the following services :

• e-pass - For displaying e-pass issued to users for travel during lockdown
• Ayushman Bharat - For IVRS based telephonic health assessment
• ICMR - For data on covid-19 testing and statistics

(e): Yes, Sir. The organizations registering for Open API service agreement to abide by the Open API Terms of Service. The Aarogya Setu Open API Terms of Service is available at : https://openapi.aarogyasetu.gov.in/tandc
