(a) the details of proposals sent for approval by the State Government of Maharashtra to the Union Government for augmentation of water resources in the State during the last
three years;
(b) the details of such proposals accorded approval and the details of proposals still
pending for approval; and
(c) the time by which the pending proposals are likely to be approved by the Government?
THE MINISTER OF WATER RESOURCES (SHRI HARISH RAWAT)
(a) & (b) 18 nos. of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for irrigation/ multipurpose
projects were received form the Government of Maharashtra during last three years for
appraisal in CWC. The details of such proposals is enclosed at Annexure.
(c) Time taken in clearance of the project relates to the time taken by the project
authorities in furnishing compliance to the comments/observations of CWC/ Central Agencies
and submission of statutory clearance from agencies including Ministry of Environment and
Forests (MoEF) and Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) and concurrence of State Finance
Department.
