(a) whether the Government porposes to increase the speed limit for commercial vehicles specially for buses and car operators on various categories of highways in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the details of speed limits fixed for various categoris of vehicles at present?

(a) and (b) No such proposal is under consideration in the Ministry.
(c) The Government vide notification S.O. 1522 (E) dated, 6th April, 2018 has fixed the maximum speed limit in respect of different classes of motor vehicles on different roads in India as under:-
