(a) As per approved guidelines of National Mission on Libraries (NML) Model Library Scheme, financial assistance is provided to one State Central Library and one District Library in each State / UT for infrastructural development, modernization etc., as recommended by the State / UT Library Authorities.
State wise number of proposals approved under the NML Model Library Scheme and status are provided at Annexure – A.
(b) Sanction of proposal under the NML Model Library Scheme depends on submission of proposal(s) from the respective State/UT Library Authorities and release of payment depends on submission of certified claims, other requisite documents and state contribution from the respective State/UT Library Authorities.
Implementation and execution of the approved projects are directly controlled by the respective Library Authorities.
Thus, National Mission on Libraries (NML) is dependent on State/UT Library Authority for sanctioning of proposal and release of payment under the NML Model Library Scheme.
(c) Implementation and execution of the approved projects are directly controlled by the Library Authority of Rajasthan. Release of payment depends on submission of certified claims and other requisite documents from the Library Authority of Rajasthan.
State Central Library Authority, Jaipur and Kota District Library have been disbursed financial assistance based on fund utilization and further claims received. Fund sanctioned and released status is provided at Annexure-A.
