Question : Development of National Highways

(a) whether the Government is aware of the dilapidated condition of the National Highway No. 327E;

(b) if so, the steps taken by the Government to repair and maintain the Highway;

(c) whether the acquisition of land in Supaul district including nearby districts in Bihar for religious corridor/national highway under the Bharatmala Pariyojana has been made;

(d) if so, the details and the present status thereof; and

(e) the time by which the construction work on this project is likely to be started and completed?

(a) No, Sir. The National Highway No. 327E in Bihar is in motorable condition.

(b)Does not arise.

(c) The land is being acquired for 04 packages of Uchhaith Bhagwati Sthan (Umgaon)-Basopatti-Benipatti-Rahika-Madhubani-Rampatti-Awam-Laufa-Bhejha-Mehsi-Tarasthan-Bangaon-Bariyahi-Saharsa. Acquisition of land has been done for one package of Bheja-Bakaur section including new proposed bridge over river Kosi.

(d) 43.00 hectare land has been acquired for Bheja-Bakaur package including new proposed bridge over river Kosi. For other packages, proposal of 3A under the NH Act,1956 has been submitted to respective District Land Acquisition Officer (DLAO) for authentication and uploading on Bhoomi Rashi Portal.

(e) The package of Bheja-Bakaur including Kosi Bridge with approaches has been awarded and contract signed on 08.11.2019. The Construction Period has been fixed as 3.5 years after appointed date. The other projects will be taken up once land acquisition is completed.
