Question : Allocation of Funds for Reconstruction of Shakti Peeth Temples

(a) Whether any scheme and fund has been determined by the Union Government for the reconstruction of the Shakti Peeth (temples), ancient temples, already located in every State of the country including Assam and if so, the details thereof;

(b) Whether any plan and fund has been determined and Shakti Peeth (temple), ancient temples located in the all the North-Eastern States including Assam have been identified for the reconstruction and if so, the details thereof;

(c) The amount of fund fixed by the Government for the reconstruction of Shakti Peeth (temple), ancient temples located in all the North-Eastern States including Assam; and

(d) The details of funds provided by the Government as on date for the reconstruction of Shakti Peeth (temple), ancient temples located in all the North- Eastern States including Assam?

(a) Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), an attached office of Ministry of Culture is mandated with the responsibilities of conservation and development of Centrally Protected Monuments and Sites. However, ASI has no specific scheme for reconstruction of the Shakti Peeth (temples) which are not declared as monuments of national importance.

(b) to (d) Does not arise, in view of above.
