(a) the objectives of the Dynamic Seed Rolling Scheme and the ways in which it will help in doubling farmers’ income;
(b) whether farmers, especially those belonging to backward regions of the country, are not able to access good quality seeds;
(c) if so, the reasons therefor; and
(d) whether the said problem has resulted in stagnation in production and if so, the details thereof?

(a): The main objective of the Dynamic Seed Rolling Scheme/Seed Rolling Plan is to assess the requirement of certified/quality seed in different States/UTs well in advance of three years. Through this system, it is ensured that quality seeds of newly released high yielding, short/medium duration, stress-tolerant and bio-fortified varieties capable of increasing the yield and reducing the input cost indifferent crops will reach the farmers.
By using these seeds, farmers are getting better yield and the input cost is decreased which helps in increasing their income.
(b): There is sufficient quantity of breeder, foundation, certified and quality seed is available in the country to meet the demand of all States/UTs including backward regions also.
(c) & (d): The question does not arise.
