(a) the details of the schemes formulated and sponsored by the Government for rural
development in the country including Gujarat;
(b) the quantum of funds allocated and utilized for these schemes during the last
three years and current year; and
(c) the steps taken/proposed to be taken to implement these schemes effectively ?

(a): The Ministry of Rural Development through State Governments and Union
Territory Administrations implements Centrally sponsored schemes viz., Mahatma
Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Swarnjayanti Gram
Swarojgar Yojana (SGSY)/ National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Indira Awaas
Yojana (IAY), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), National Social
Assistance Programme (NSAP), Integrated Watershed Management Programme
(IWMP), National Rural Drinking Water Programme (MRDWP) and Total Santiation
Programme in all the rural areas of the States including Gujarat.
(b): The quantum of funds under allocation based schemes and utilized for these
schemes by Gujarat during the last three years (i.e.2007-08, 2008-09, 2009-10 and
current year 2010-11) are given below:
