Question : RSETIs

(a) whether the Government has proposed to set up one Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI)in each district of the country, which aims to create self employment opportunities among the rural poor including women;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government has also proposed to provide one time infrastructure support of one crore besides reimbursing the cost of training to rural poorcandidates;

(d) if so, the details thereof, State-wise;and

(e) the number of persons trained and number of persons out of them settled in self employment and wage employment under RSETIs during each of the last threeyears and the current year, State-wise?

(a) & (b): The Government has proposed to set up one Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) in each district of the country, which aims to create self employment opportunities among the rural poor including women. The State-wise details of the districts in which RSETIs have been established, is as at Annexure – I.

(c) & (d): The Government also provides one time infrastructure support of one crore besidesreimbursing the cost of training to rural poorcandidates. The State-wise details of the infrastructure support provided and the reimbursement of training costs made during the financial year 2014-15 is as at Annexure – II.

(e): The number of persons trained andnumber of persons out of them settled inself employment and wage employmentunder RSETIs during each of the last threeyears and the current year, State-wise is as at Annexure – III.
