(a) whether the OMCs including Indane gas is not providing distribution network under rural distribution scheme to distribute cylinders in the villages within the distance of 2 Kms; and
(b) if so, the steps taken/proposed to be taken to distribute the gas cylinders in the nearby villages so that consumers are relieved of the problem of getting refilled their cylinder from far away places?

(a) & (b) In order to address the issue of easy access and availability of LPG at the doorsteps to the LPG consumers living especially in rural areas, Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) including Indane Gas have undertaken massive LPG network expansion drive in recent years. OMCs have commissioned 6418 distributorships including rural areas from the year 2016-17 for easy access and availability of LPG at the doorsteps to the LPG consumers. LPG distributors in rural areas (Gramin Vitrak) generally cover all villages falling within 15 Km. from the boundary of the LPG distributorship location.
