Question : ALLOTMENT OF LAND



(a) whether Delhi Government has requested the Union Government for allotment of unused land given to private firms during the last 40 years for building hospitals;

(b) if so, the details of these land sites and the allottees alongwith the terms and conditions while allotting these sites to them;

(c) whether any timeframe was given to these allottees for building hospitals on these sites and if so, the details thereof; and

(d) the action taken against the allottees for not adhering to the terms and conditions?

(a): Yes, Madam.

(b), (c) and (d): Standard terms and conditions for allotment of land to any private society for construction of hospital, as received from Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is at Annex-1. As per these, construction of the hospital and essential staff quarters have to be completed within a period of 02 or 03 years from the date of handing over the possession of plot. DDA has informed that there is a provision for granting extension of time for construction on payment of composition fee, with due approval of the competent authority. The details regarding the land sites referred to in part (a) and action taken for not adhering to the terms and conditions are given in Annex-2.
