(a) & (b) Several measures for development of water
resources including major, medium and minor schemes to
conserve water have been undertaken by the State
Governments. State Governments are also executing various
schemes to harvest rain water. The Government of India is
implementing a pilot scheme âNational Project for Repair,
Renovation and Restoration of Water Bodies directly linked
to Agricultureâ with a total outlay of Rs. 300 crore during
the remaining period of Tenth Five Year Plan.
