(a) whether the Government are aware of the agitation against the construction of Kakkadavu Dam in district Kasanagod of Kerala;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government propose to intervene and resolve
the matter; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d) Union Government has not received any project
report for Kakkadavu Dam for techno-economic appraisal.
Irrigation being a State subject, the concerned State
Governments are primarily responsible for planning, funding
and execution etc. of all types of irrigation projects /
schemes including flood control & drainage from their won
resources and as per their own priorities.
