(a) Nehru Yuva Kendras cater to the needs of non-student rural youth enrolled through village youth clubs and work in the areas covering education and training, awareness generation, skill development for self-employment, work camps, promotion of rural sports and culture etc. They also undertake implementation of the programmes being undertaken by various Ministries/Departments like Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, etc. These centers also implement two other important schemes of this Ministry namely National Service Volunteers Schemes and National Reconstruction Corps Scheme.
