(a): Sir, publicity of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana has been taken up at National level and an amount of Rs. 1.47 crore has been spent on publicity. The amount spent has following break-up:
Advertising Rs. 77, 77,016/- Audio-Visual Rs. 69, 71,932/- Total Rs. 1,47, 48,948/-
(b): The Government has taken steps to popularise the scheme by carrying out publicity through print and electronic/Audio Visual media on all India basis.

As per the Shyamala Gopinath Committee, Government has to allow a spread of 25 bps on recurring deposits as part of small savings schemes and on Sukanya Samriddhi Account Schemes, it is 75 bps
