Question : Vocational Training

(a) whether the Government has met the target of providing vocational training to eligible candidates under the various programmes including the National Skill Development Corporation Programmes;

(b) if so, the number of candidates benefited under the said programme during each of last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise;

(c) the year-wise and State/UT-wise number/ percentage of candidates who have passed out and have been employed based on vocational training in the country during the said period;

(d) whether the Government has tied up with various industrial associations like Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI), the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to run such vocational training programmes under their mandatory Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributions;

(e) if so, the details thereof and the other steps taken/being taken by the Government for welfare of such candidates and to ensure employment to all candidates; and

(f) whether the Government proposes to grant special relaxation in the criteria for opening up vocational training centres in the backward States of the country and if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) A statement giving details of the skilling targets and achievements of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Director General of Training’s three major schemes namely Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS), Skill Development Initiatives Schemes (SDIS) and Apprenticeship Training (ATS) is given at Annexure-I.

(c) The state wise distribution of training provided by NSDC (include SSC numbers and Udaan Numbers) for last three years is given at Annexure-II.

(d) Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has not tied up with industrial association as such.

(e) Does not arise.

(f) Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has not moved any proposal as such.
