(a) whether the Government has decided to increase number of examination centres for
National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) for 2017 Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)
Mains and Advance in Tirupathi, Rajahmundry, Kakinada, Kurnool and various other
important places in Andhra Pradesh; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) and (b) : National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET- 2017) will be conducted in
Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main)- 2017 will be conducted
in Tirupathi, Guntur, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. JEE (Advance)- 2017 will be
conducted in Anantapur, Guntoor, Nellore, Tirupathi, Ongole and Vijayawada.
Examination Centres are fixed looking into the number of candidates expected to be
appeared in the examination in that particular year.
