(a) whether the Government is contemplating to set up recycling plants for the
recycling of ammunitions lying in the depots of Armed Forces as reported in Rashtriya
Sahara dated December 19, 2005;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the estimated expenditure likely to be incurred thereon?

(a) to (c): There is no proposal for setting up of recycling plants for the recycling
of ammunitions lying in the depots of the Army, Navy and the Air Force, as reported in
Rashtriya Sahara dated December 19, 2005. There is however a proposal for a plant for
disposal of unserviceable/rejected ammunitions in the Ordnance Factory Board at Ordnance
Factory, Khamaria.
