(a) whether the Government is paying special attention towards irrigation projects across the country particularly Maharashtra;
(b) if so, whether the Government proposes to provide special package to Maharashtra for Krishna-Marathwada Irrigation Project;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the funds released for Krishna Marathwada Irrigation Project during the last three years?

(a) During 2016-17, ninety-nine (99) on-going Major/Medium irrigation projects (Including 26 irrigation projects of Maharashtra) under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) - Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme (AIBP), having ultimate irrigation potential of 76.03 lakh ha. and balance estimated cost of Rs.77595 crore have been prioritized in consultation with States, for completion in phases up to December, 2019 along with their Command Area Development & Water Management (CADWM) works. Funding mechanism through NABARD has been approved by the Government for both Central and State share.
Further, a special package for completion of 91 [8 major/medium and 83 minor] irrigation projects of Maharashtra having estimated balance cost of Rs.13,651.61 crore as on 1.4.2018 has been approved. Central Assistance (CA) component amounts to Rs.3831.4 crore.
(b) to (d) State Government has not submitted any proposal for funding of Krishna Marathwada Irrigation project of Maharashtra. However, State Government has informed that Rs.365 crore has been released for this project by them during the last three years.
