(a) whether the Government has received complaints regarding alleged selling of call record details of people;
(b) if so, the steps taken by the Government to check such illegal practices; and
(c) the number of such complaints received by the Government during the last three years, State/UT-wise?

(a) No such complaint has been received in the Ministry of Communications. However, as per secret communication received from Ministry of Home Affairs, Delhi Police and Thane Police have detected scam/rackets regarding agencies procuring Call Detail Records illegally and selling them to their clients.
(b)&(c) Total two cases have been registered by Delhi Police and Thane police against the accused persons during 2016-17 and 2017-18 respectively.
