DR. AMBEDKAR SCHEME FOR SOCIAL INTEGRATION
4320. SHRI SHRINIWAS PATIL:
Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the number of proposals sent by the Government of Maharashtra to the Union Government to get incentives under Dr. Ambedkar Scheme for Social Integration;
(b) the number of couples provided incentives for inter-caste marriages thereunder during the last three years in Maharashtra especially Satara District;
(c) the reasons for very slow implementation of the scheme for promotion of inter-caste marriages in Maharashtra; and
(d) the corrective steps taken by the Government for release of incentives to all the inter-caste couples in Satara District of Maharashtra?

(a): 59 (Fifty Nine) proposals have been received from District Magistrate/District Collector of Maharashtra State in last three years.
(b): No proposal has been received during last three years from District Satara of Maharashtra State.
(c): Many proposals are either directly received from the applicants without recommendation of the concerned DMs/DCs/State Welfare Officer from all States or having discrepancies of required documents.
(d): Dr. Ambedkar scheme for social integration through Inter Caste marriages have been communicated to the District Collector/Deputy Commissioner of all Districts of the State. Further details for the scheme can be referred in the website of DAF www.ambedkarfoundation.nic.in. As no proposal has been received from Satara in the last three years corrective steps at present are not required to be taken.
