(a)& (b) The Ministry of Rural Development is presently implementing the following major
schemes:.
1. Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY)
2. Sampoorna Gramin Rozgar Yojana (SGRY)
3. Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY)
4. Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)
5. Integrated Wasteland Development Programme ( IWDP)
6. Drought Prone Areas Programme (DPAP)
7. Desert Development Programme (DDP)
8. Accelerated Rural Water Supply Programme (ARWSP)
9. Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC)
10. Swajaldhara
Under the Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY), the Sampoorna Gramin
Rozgar Yojana (SGRY), the Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY), the Drought Prone Areas
Programme (DPAP) and the Desert Development Programme (DDP) the funds are shared
between the Centre and State Governments in the ratio of 75:25. The Pradhan Mantri Gram
Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is a 100% Centrally Sponsored Scheme. The funds under the
IWDP are shared between the Central and State Governments in the ratio of Rs. 5500/- per
hect. and Rs. 500 per hect. respectively. Under the Accelerated Rural Water Supply
Programme (ARWSP) the share of funding between Centre and State is on 50:50 basis.
Under the Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) the share of funding between Centre, State and
Community is 60:20:20 basis respectively. Under the Swajaldhara, excluding community
contribution, the rest of the project cost is fully met by the Government of India.
