Question : Setting up Offices of Petroleum Companies

(a) whether the Government has set up/ proposes to set up offices of various petroleum companies in Odisha;
(b) if so, the names of such companies whose offices are likey to be set up along with the locations thereof; and
(c) the financial burden likely to be borne by various companies as a result thereof along with the benefits likely to accrue to these companies after setting up of said offices?

(a) to (c): Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry, has established an office at Bhubaneshwar, Odisha to look into the exploration activities at Mahanadi Basin at a cost of Rs. 106.30 lakh. This office will help ONGC in monitoring exploration and production activities in Mahanadi Basin.
