(a) whether the Government proposes to sell cooking gas (LPG) cylinders from select petrol pumps
in five metros of the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether these cylinders will be sold on subsidized rate;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the time by which the scheme is likely to be implemented in other parts of the country?

(a) to (e) : Government has approved the proposal of public sector oil marketing companies (OMCs) to
supply LPG at non-subsidized rate through Company Owned Company Operated (COCO) Retail Outlet (RO) for
implementation on a pilot basis in Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bangalore subject to statutory
clearances of Oil Industry Safety Directorate (OISD)/Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO).
