(a) the details of average cost of steel production per tonne manufactured by the private sector and public sector companies along with the average price of each type of steel product sold in the market;
(b) whether corrosion resistant steel manufactured in India; and
(c) if so, the details thereof including its use in manufacturing of various items in the country?

(a) The cost of production of different types of steel produced by individual companies is commercially sensitive information which is guarded by the concerned companies and is not publicly available. Retail prices of various steel products sold in the market during the last 2 years and current year are at Annexure-I.
(b)&(c): Yes, Madam. Corrosion resistant steel is manufactured in India. These are used for construction, automobiles, engineering, white goods, infrastructure etc.
