Question : Setting up of Aviation Multi-Skill Development Centre

(a) whether the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has set up an Aviation Multi-Skill Development Centre (AMSDC) under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and if so, the details in this regard;

(b) the details about other various projects undertaken by the AAI under its CSR initiative during the last two years;

(c) whether the Government is also planning to set up such collaboration in Odisha;

(d) if so, the time by which it will be set up and if not, the reasons therefor; and

(e) whether the Government has received such proposal from Odisha and if so, the details and the present status thereof?

(a) : Yes, Sir. Airports Authority of India (AAI) in collaboration with NSDC is running 2(two) Aviation Multi Skill Development Centres (AMSDC) center under the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

Airports Authority of India (AAI) have started 2 Multi Skill Development Centre in collaboration with National Skill Development Corporation(NSDC) and National Skill Development Fund (NSDF) at Chandigarh and Mumbai.

The centre in Chandigarh was inaugurated on 27th Feburary 2018. Over 2300 candidates are likely to be trained in Chandigarh in a span of 03 years. The centre in Mumbai started its first batch in April 2019. Over 700 candidates are likely to be trained in Mumbai in a span of 03 years.

Job roles identified for the aviation centre in Chandigarh & Mumbai are :-
(i) Airline Customer Service Executive
(ii) Airline Resrvation Agent
(iii) Airline Cargo Assistant
(iv) Airline Ramp executive
(v) Airline Flight Load Controller
(vi) Airline Security Executive
(vii) Airport X Ray qualified Staff
(viii) Airport Facility Services
(ix) Airline Baggage Handler

The training programmes aims at skilling as well as up-skilling in Aviation Sector. The industry will be benefited by acquiring skilled manpower at no additional training cost

(b) : The details of various projects undertaken by AAI under the CSR initiative during the last 2 years is at Annexure I ;

(c) to (e) : No, Sir. At present, there is no proposal to set up such a collaboration in Odisha.
