Naushaba Begum, December 16, 1950; Agriculturist: previously associated with the Praja Socialist Party, 1957-67, the Samyukta Socialist Party, 1967-70 and the Bharatiya Kranti Dal from 1971 till the formation of the Bharatiya Lok Dal; took part in the food agitation launched by the P.S.P. in 1958 and was imprisoned; also courted arrest with a ''Jatha" during Emergency, under DIR, and kept in Muzaffarnagar Jail, July 1975-February 1976; President (i) District Bharatiya Kranti Dal, 1973-74 and (ii) District Bharatiya Lok Dal, 1975: Director, C. D Society, Shamli, 1945-47; Life Member, Vice President and now president, N. P. College, Jalalabad; Member, (i) U.P. Legislative Assembly, 1957-62, (ii) Fourth Lok Sabha, 1967-70 and (iii) Rajya Sabha, 1976-80 (till election to Lok Sabha). Favourite pastime and recreation: Agriculture, Gardening and Horse-riding.
