(M), 1964—74; Secretariat Member, C,P.I. (M) Delhi State Committee; at present General-Secretary, Centre of Indian Trade Unions (C.I.T.U.), Delhi State Committee; visited Moscow as a delegate of All India Hospital Employees Federation in 1962. Favourite pastime and recreation: Reading. Special interests: Trade union movement and journalism. Publications: Edited a Bengali weekly journal from Burdwan. Contributed articles in English and Bengali journals. Sports and clubs: Took active part in games and sports during school and college days.
