Upgradation of the National Fire Service College

The Union Cabinet today gave its approval  to the following proposals :

i)                    Construction of building and other infrastructural facilities for the National Fire Service College, Nagpur at a cost of Rs. 83.60 crore in three annual phases commencing from the year 2005-06;

ii)                  Procurement of training aids/equipments at a cost of        Rs.15.35 crore;

iii)                Purchase of Laboratory items for the Research, Analysis and Documentation Wing of the National Fire Service College, Nagpur at a cost of Rs. 4.50 crore.

iv)                Payment of  cost of the 14.61 acres land with interest to the  Government of Maharashtra amounting  to Rs. 50,13,735.

The development of the national Fire Service College, Nagpur would meet the increased requirements for advanced specialized training in Fire Engineering and Emergency Response.
