The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for signing on behalf of the Customs Administration of the Government of India the SAARC Agreement on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Customs matters.
This Agreement will help in obtaining reliable, quick and cost-effective information and intelligence on a multilateral basis for the prevention and investigation of Customs offences and the apprehension of Customs offenders, in the SAARC Region.
