There is a proposal to convert National Highway portion of NH-58 between Meerut and Dehradun into 4-lane on Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis. The section of NH-58 from Delhi to Meerut is already four lane. The work for 4-lane between Meerut and Muzaffernagar has already been awarded to M/s NCC-Maytas Consortium. Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been completed and BOT bids are under preparation for the remaining portion.
This information was given in the Lok Sabha today in a written reply by the Minister of state for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways, Shri K.H. Muniyappa.
