(a) the number of Public Sector Undertakings proposed to be closed down as on date, State-wise and location-wise;
(b) whether any action has been taken by the Government to assess the value of the immovable properties of such undertakings; and
(c) if so, the details thereof?

(a): Based on the recommendations of Board for Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises, Government had approved closure of 4 Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSEs) till 31.3.2014. Further, in December, 2014, Government approved road map for closure of 5 CPSEs (HMT Watches Ltd., HMT Chinnar Watches Ltd., Hindustan Cables Ltd., HMT Bearings Ltd. and Tungabhadra Steel Products Ltd.) under the administrative control of Department of Heavy Industry. The details of CPSEs approved for closure are given in Annex.
(b)&(c):Action in respect of CPSEs approved to be closed down, including the assessment of value of immovable properties of such undertakings is done by the CPSEs and its administrative Ministry/Department on case to case basis.
