(a) the number of textile mills closed and workers rendered unemployed during the last three years, State-wise;
(b) the reasons for closure of such mills;
(c) whether the Government has provided financial and other assistance for revival of the closed textile mills
during the said period;
(d) if so, the details thereof alongwith the funds allocated for the purpose; and
(e) the steps taken by the Government to provide employment/financial assistance to the workers during the said period?

(a) & (b): 150 cotton/man made fibre textile mills (Non-SSI) having 50151 workers were closed during the 2008-09,
2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12 (upto February 2012). The details are as under:-
